چکیده

An amphiphilic phosphodiester-linked azobenzene trimer has been exploited in the development of stimuli-responsive, water-soluble supramolecular polymers. The can reversibly undergo thermal and photoisomerization between Z- E-isomers. Its self-assembly properties aqueous medium have investigated by spectroscopic microscopic techniques, demonstrating that E- Z-azobenzene trimers form nanosheets toroidal nanostructures, respectively. By virtue E/Z units, two different morphologies be switched photoirradiation. findings pave a way towards polymers which hold great promise smart functional materials.
